Precision In Vision.
Heart In Every Detail.
Dr. Nathan Rudometkin is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon and the founder of Laguna Retina. He completed his ophthalmology residency followed by advanced subspecialty fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery, equipping him with expertise in both the medical and surgical management of complex retinal diseases.
Dr. Rudometkin believes that exceptional retina care begins with truly listening to the patient. At Laguna Retina, every appointment is unhurried, every question is welcome, and every diagnosis is explained in plain language — because an informed patient is an empowered patient.

Bringing Innovation Into Focus
Dr. Rudometkin’s approach to care is grounded in a deep respect for the patient experience. Retinal disease can be frightening — a sudden change in vision, a new diagnosis, or the prospect of surgery. He believes that transparency, compassion, and clear communication are not luxuries; they are essential components of excellent medical care.
His practice is intentionally small by design — a boutique practice where patients are never a number, referrals are handled personally, and long-term relationships with both patients and referring providers are paramount.
